NPR's 500+ SAG-AFTRA Union Journalists

NPR has proudly been a union shop for over 40 years.

Our union, which is organized through SAG-AFTRA, includes more than 500 radio, podcast, and digital producers, editors, hosts, and reporters based in the USA. We also include content operations, reference library and research staff and visual creators. Our union covers both permanent and temporary employees.

The more than 500 members of our union do our work for you, our listeners and readers. However you consume NPR, we make it for you.
